Dr. Esther McCaffery » Biography

Biography

Dr. Esther McCaffery joined Trinity Hall from Kew Forest, in Queens, NY. At Trinity Hall she has taught various levels of biology, chemistry and engineering. In addition to teaching her academic classes at Trinity Hall, Esther will be working with SCOPE to organize service day as well serve as a faculty advisor of the gardening club and Plant the Moon research group.
 
Esther received a B.A. in biochemistry from Barnard College. From there she moved to Kenya where her passion for science and service was employed in a laboratory and orphanage specializing in HIV/AIDS. This experience led to Esther’s interest in virology and her move back to the U.S. to earn her M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. in microbiology, immunology and infectious disease from Columbia University.
