Kicking off the Holiday Season with the Annual Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting | Monarch Media

Each year, the Trinity Hall community immerses themselves into the Christmas spirit with the annual Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting. On December 13, students, faculty, family and friends gathered for performances by Trinity Hall’s Orchestra, Choir, Glee Club, Chimes, world languages department, and the newly formed Madrigal Choir. The Commons was transformed into a stage and adorned with cheerful decorations, creating a festive atmosphere.

Orchestra Director and Technology Coordinator, Michael Kabash, was extremely proud of the performers’ hard work throughout the night. Kabash shared, “Our Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting was a magical and festively fun evening. The students performed brilliantly under the lights, all while welcoming new Monarch musicians to the team for their first performance. I was happy to see the performers and the audience enjoy what we've been working on over our fall music season.”

This was a long awaited event that students had spent months preparing for. Sophia LaTourette ‘25, Arts Council Chair, expressed her gratitude to all those involved in the Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting: “The performers worked very hard to ring in the holiday season for the Trinity Hall community. Thank you to our Chorus, Madrigal Choir, instrumentalists, Glee Club, Chimes, and world languages departments for their ongoing commitment to the arts. Special thanks to Mrs. Brancato and Mr. Kabash for supporting these groups, and thank you to Ms. Sobieski and Mrs. Kiernan for organizing this event.”

All of the effort was well-received, and it was a magical night for performers and guests. Lauren Brancato, dance and music teacher, expressed her happiness with the event’s success when she said, “The Trinity Hall music program had an outstanding show of musicality and festive fun before the break. Our Orchestra kicked off the evening with a jazzy song featuring all our instrumentalists and highlighting our seniors Luciana D’Andrea, Ryan Rawlins and Kacey Wilkens as featured soloists. After being cheerily welcomed by our Madrigals choir, senior MC and Arts Council Chair Sophia LaTourette introduced the rest of the show filled with holiday favorites. With music from our Orchestra, Concert Choir, Madrigals Choir, Glee Club, Music 2 class and world languages department, the evening was a huge success. The marshmallows in the PA hot chocolate were a perfect touch as we closed with carols outside around the tree. What a great way to kick off the holiday season. We couldn’t be prouder of our Monarch Musicians!”

Overall, this was an incredible Christmas event, and it is one of Trinity Hall’s most coveted traditions for good reason.
