On the last day before Thanksgiving break, students from the orange and blue Teams came together to face off in the annual Royal Rumble Flag Football game. Taking place on the front lawn this year, the two teams competed while their classmates cheered them on from the sidelines and alumnae visited for Homecoming. The event was an overall success, and ultimately, the orange team brought home the trophy after a series of tough games.
Athletics Council Chair Ceci Sperber ‘25 shared a bit about organizing the event and the reasons why it is always a favorite tradition. She stated, "The Royal Rumble Flag Football Tournament is something that we look forward to every year as a Trinity Hall community. It is arguably one of our best traditions! Not only do the orange and blue teams compete for the title of champions, but graduated students are also welcomed back to campus for Homecoming. The Athletics Council works very hard to organize and plan the tournament each year, so we encourage everyone to come and support."
This beloved tradition required a lot of teamwork and cooperation from both teams. Kailyn Fitzgerald ‘27, team member on the winning orange team, shared her experience throughout the tournament. She stated, “Flag football this year was so much fun. I know that my team worked really hard together and formed a good bond very quickly. Mr. Polivka had great plays, and our teamwork is what led us to the big win!”
This exciting event was very successful in not only bonding the current community but also welcoming alumnae and reuniting the community. This Trinity Hall tradition will continue to flourish in the years to come.
