Trinity Hall Celebrates the Christmas Season with Music, Merriment and Community Traditions

This year, Trinity Hall welcomed the Christmas season with a variety of festive activities, bringing students, staff, and faculty together in a spirit of joy and community. The halls were filled with holiday cheer, from the lively performances at the Christmas concert to the annual Advent prayer service.

One of the highlights of the season was the much-anticipated Christmas Concert and Tree Lighting, where the school’s talented choir, orchestra, Madrigals, Glee Club, and music and World Language classes joined forces to deliver a night of memorable performances. Students showcased their musical skills through a medley of songs, ranging from traditional carols to contemporary holiday music, capping the night with the always enthusiastic sing-along and tree lighting. The performances were a true testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and their directors, Mrs. Lauren Brancato and Mr. Mike Kabash, who spent weeks preparing for the event. Mrs. Brancato shared, “Filled with music from our orchestra, concert choir, Madrigals choir, Glee Club, Music II class and world languages department, the evening was a huge success! The marshmallows in the hot chocolate were a perfect touch as we closed with carols outside around the tree. What a great way to kick off the holiday season! We couldn’t be prouder of our Monarch Musicians!”

In addition to the musical celebrations, the Trinity Hall’s Advisory groups participated in a friendly door decorating contest. Students worked together to transform their classroom doors into festive artistic pieces, with each design reflecting the spirit of the season. The creative decorations filled the halls with vibrant colors and holiday-themed artwork, adding to the overall festive ambiance.

Christmas festivities also included the popular Ugly Sweater Contest, where both students and staff embraced the holiday fun by donning their creative and colorful sweaters. Participants from the student body and faculty proudly showcased their festive fashion choices, and awards were presented for the most creative, ugliest, and cutest.

Another cherished tradition was the Advent prayer service, which allowed the school community to come together in reflection and prayer. This meaningful service, led by students on SCOPE Council, gave everyone an opportunity to pause and reflect on the holiday season and the true reason for celebrating.

Finally, students ended the week by exchanging gifts as part of the annual Trinity Hall elves tradition. Gifts were exchanged throughout the week, emphasizing generosity and gratitude during the holiday season. Following the exchange, everyone came together for a joyful sing-along of Christmas songs. It was a perfect way to close out the week of festivities and leave everyone feeling merry and bright as they head into winter break.

Trinity Hall wishes students, faculty and staff members, and community members a healthy, happy, and joyful Christmas break and holiday season. We look forward to opening our doors to a new year in 2025!
