On Wednesday, November 6, Trinity Hall hosted its annual evening Open House. Middle school students from the surrounding area were welcomed to campus to learn about Trinity Hall's atmosphere and education style. During these two hours, students and their families took a self-guided tour around the building, engaged with the student body and attended an information session. Throughout the night, the girls learned more about Trinity Hall and had the opportunity to truly envision themselves as part of the Trinity Hall community.
The Open House provided a chance for the young students to learn more about the educational opportunities that Trinity Hall offers. The girls made their way through classrooms and were able to gauge an idea of what best suited them. The STEM rooms showcased student projects to engage with prospective students and explain to them the unique opportunity it is to take engineering. The humanities courses displayed previous projects to portray the creativity of literature, and Cecilia Sperber ‘25 truly explained the intricacies of AP classes to students in an understandable fashion.
Freshman English and sophomore AP World History teacher, Mrs. Brittany Oricco, who attended the Open House commented, “I would like to give a shoutout to our excellent history students who answered questions for prospective students at our Open House. They are brilliant and committed to history and educating the next generation of girls coming up behind them.”
As well as previewing courses at Trinity Hall, girls heard about the many clubs, programs and co-curriculars activities that are offered to the student body. In addition, coaches, club leaders, and staff members were able to converse with possible members about the details and share anecdotes about their backgrounds. Additionally, the Trinity Hall mascot, the Monarch, was an integral part of the event’s success. She made some special appearances throughout the evening. Students from all grade levels took the opportunity to volunteer their time, including sophomore Abbey Basile who said, “This Open House reminded me of the first time I came to Trinity Hall.”
The Open Houses are something valued among Trinity Hall students and are looked forward to every fall. Students were seen with smiles on their faces greeting parents and students, and simply sharing their personal experiences at Trinity Hall. The Open House was a night filled with student spirit that radiated onto the potential Monarch families alike.
