Alumnae Spotlight: Gabriella Sorrentino ‘21, 2025 Rhodes Scholar

Gabriella Sorrentino from Trinity Hall’s Class of 2021 has been selected as a recipient of the Rhodes Scholarship for 2025. Widely regarded as the most prestigious international scholarship for American college graduates, Gabriella was among just 32 students in the United States named as a 2025 Rhodes Scholar. Starting in October, she will study at The University of Oxford, pursuing both an MSc in migration studies and a master’s degree in public policy.

Gabriella is currently pursuing a dual major in American history and philosophy at the United States Military Academy West Point, where she has been an outstanding member of the community. While at West Point, Gabriella has conducted archival research, was a contributing editor of an upcoming memoir and served as Regimental Command Sergeant Major for Cadet Basic Training. She now serves as the Brigade Honor Captain and competes as a member of the women’s boxing team.

This news comes days after Gabriella was also recognized on West Point’s campus with the 2024 Lt. Gen. Hal Moore Athlete of Excellence Award. The award is given to two students every year who exemplify the qualities of Lt. Gen. Hal Moore – mental toughness, perseverance, winning spirit and humility.

The Trinity Hall community congratulates Gabriella on these remarkable accomplishments!
