Not only did Trinity Hall welcome a new freshman class this school year, but they also welcomed new faculty. Each new faculty and staff member brings a wealth of knowledge to their team, and we are eager to welcome them into the Trinity Hall community, where it’s all about the GIRL.
The growing student body calls for more college counselors. Mr. Matthew Provost, a New Hampshire native and graduate of St. Anselm University joins the faculty as the newest member of the college counseling team. Having recently moved to New Jersey, he is enjoying the beaches and exploring the area. He is also a big fan of the Boston Red Sox and used to work in a Minor League Baseball Club. He even knows some players in the MLB. Baseline Social is one of his favorite places to watch sports. Mr. Provost is excited to be a part of the Monarch community and shares, “I want to help students know all of their options so they can end up in the career that best fits them.”
Ms. Marangelis Pagan joins Trinity Hall as the newest member of the world languages team. Ms. Pagan is teaching Spanish III and Spanish IV and is also co-teaching Spanish V with Mrs. Fairchild. Ms. Pagan grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and before coming to Trinity Hall, she taught at two other all-girls schools in New York. Her family descends from Puerto Rico and she loves to travel in her free time. She also enjoys cooking and baking, specifically making sourdough bread. Another fun fact about Ms. Pagan is that she can not only speak English and Spanish but also Italian. Her outgoing and humorous personality makes her class an enjoyable environment where students can improve their language skills and build relationships with the people around them. Ms. Pagan shared her enthusiasm, "I'm thrilled to dive into the exciting events that this school has to offer for the very first time!”
Another new member of the Trinity Hall faculty is Dr. Christine Webster-Hansen. Before working at Trinity Hall, Dr. Webster was a full-time, tenured English professor at Camden County Community College for 14 years, and over a 20-year period, she accumulated experience as an adjunct English professor at Rowan University, Rutgers University, and Holy Family University as well as the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) and various two-year colleges. Along with all of those prestigious positions, her most recent occupation before joining Trinity Hall was serving as the Dean of Humanities at Brookdale Community College. She is currently a co-owner of a property management company where she oversees passive-investment home rentals. Dr. Webster enjoys spending time with her husband and three cats, and in their free time, they enjoy traveling, rock climbing, and weightlifting at the gym together. This year at Trinity Hall, she is teaching AP English Literature. Dr. Webster said, “This year, I'm most excited to get to know the students while contributing to their intellectual excitement, analytical development, and aesthetic appreciation for literature.” Dr. Webster’s vast knowledge of literature and her passion for teaching allows her students to dive into the material with excitement to learn.
Ms. Katie Venezia makes Trinity Hall history by being the first Trinity Hall graduate to return to her alma mater as a full-time teacher. Ms. Venezia shares, “Ever since I was young, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. It only made sense that I returned to Trinity Hall because through being a student here, I experienced how special this place really is. I have been welcomed by the community once again and it is very exciting to be teaching alongside the role models that have been in my life since I was fourteen! Although I will admit, I'm not sure if I will ever get used to calling my former teachers by their first names!”
This year, Ms. Venezia is teaching English I as well as English IV. Along with the classes she teaches, she advises Pen’s Den and Book Club. She is excited to continue to get to know her students because they brighten her day and is also looking forward to the projects featured in English I. Immersing herself back into the community Ms. Venezia loves is inspiring to students here at Trinity Hall. Following her education at Trinity Hall, Ms. Venezia attended Boston College for both her Bachelor’s and Master's degrees. Ms. Venezia loves to cook, is a “HUGE Swiftie”, and was class president both her junior and senior years at Trinity Hall. She is so excited to be back at Trinity Hall and once again be a part of the Monarch community!
Another new member of the Humanities Team is Mrs. Janet Antico. She has previously worked in the business/finance field, but has found her new home being a part of Trinity Hall's theology team. Mrs. Antico has a passion for theology, as expanding her faith is so important to her that she is pursuing a higher education degree in the discipline. Mrs. Antico and her husband lived in London early on in their marriage, and almost every weekend, they traveled to a different country. During that time, she developed her love for archaeology and theology, visiting the historical sites and ruins in Israel, Turkey, Italy, etc. Mrs. Antico also has three daughters who are now pursuing their careers, and two rescue dogs who love long walks on the boardwalk. Mrs. Antico stated, “I love the positive energy of the students and staff here at Trinity Hall! And, I look forward to exploring Catholic identity in our theology classes this year, uncovering and highlighting the activities of our foremothers in faith.” She has cultivated a class environment where students are encouraged to share opinions, discuss theological topics, and work on assignments integral to the curriculum.
Join us in welcoming the new additions to the Trinity Hall faculty and staff!
