College Counseling Programming: Fall 2022

The College Counseling Office at Trinity Hall supports every student through every step of the college process. From college trips, to SAT preparation classes, to applications, the College Counseling Office provides assistance to every student to find the best fit for her academic journey beyond high school. This fall, the College Counseling Office has many opportunities and events to help students and parents prepare for the upcoming college admissions season.

College Admissions Representative Visits: During the school day, admissions representatives from colleges and universities visit campus to talk to students about their respective institutions. These visits are an opportune time for students to learn more about colleges they are interested in and start creating a list of potential schools in which to apply. This year, over 100 college admissions representatives will be visiting Trinity Hall between September 19 and October 28. Students can view the list and register for each visit using SCOIR.

College Panel Zoom: The College Counseling Office will be hosting a mandatory College Panel Zoom for juniors and their parents on Tuesday, October 11 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. The panel will consist of four admissions representatives from different colleges sharing advice and insights about the college admissions process. This event is a great way for juniors and their parents to start thinking about college admissions and what they should expect for the next two years ahead.

College Financial Aid Information Session: The same night as the College Panel Zoom, the College Counseling Office invites all parents to a virtual information session about financial aid in college via Zoom on Tuesday, October 11 from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. A college admissions representative will be providing helpful information about how the college financial aid application process works, including details about completing the FAFSA and CSS Profile forms. The college financial aid process can be lengthy and confusing, therefore this event can help parents navigate this process with ease.

Trinity Hall College Counselor Gina Jadelis explained, “We are so excited to welcome 100 admission representatives from all over the world to speak to our students about opportunities at their institutions. Juniors and seniors have the opportunity to ask admission counselors questions about student life on campus, academic programs and the application process in 30-minute meetings. In the College Counseling Office, we provide one-on-one college counseling for every student and assist them in finding the college that is the perfect fit for her undergraduate years. We hope to make the college process a little bit easier for each student and their family with the services we provide.”
